ADB donates covid-19 materials to western farmers

Sifuwe Mwangala-The African Development Bank -ADB- has donated Covid-19 materials valued at 250, 000 US dollars to farmers and organizations affected by the coronavirus in Western Province.

Western Province Minister RICHARD KAPITA who received the materials in Mongu said the items that are meant to cushion the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic will be distributed to all the 16 districts in the Province.

Mr. KAPITA said the Ministry of Agriculture through Cashew Infrastructure Development Project -CIDP- in conjunction with the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) drew up a response plan using the existing Covid-19 multi-sectoral contingency and re
ponse plan for Western Province.

He said the plan was aimed at preserving the socio-economic stability of the province.
