95 UPND SUPPORTERS DEFECT TO PF

(ZANIS) Ninety-Five United Party for National Development -UPND- supporters in Lukulu ward of Kasama district has defected to Patriotic Front (PF).

The defectors who spoke through their representative BENARD MUBANGA revealed that they have decided to join the PF because they appreciate the leadership of President EDGAR LUNGU.

Mr. MUBANGA explained that the PF has shown that it cares for the people of Zambia.

And another defector GIFT MULENGA has called on fellow defectors to follow the party guidelines.

And PF Northern Province Mobilisation Coordinator, JAIROS TEMBO who received the defectors said the party is still welcoming new members.

But when contacted for a comment, UPND Provincial Chairperson VICTOR SINKALA said the defectors are masqueraders stating that the party is intact.

Mr. SINKALA has since advised party members and the public not to engage in violence but turn up in numbers to vote in tomorrow’s general election.
