3,000 Youths Gets Skills Using CDF

Over 3,000 youths in Kitwe’s Chimwemwe constituency have been trained in various skills under the constituency development fund.

Meanwhile, the Government is building additional classrooms in Chimwemwe constituency at a cost of 1.3 million Kwacha.

Government has also given out grants and loans to 300 cooperatives and small businesses in empowerment under the CDF in Chimwemwe.

Chimwemwe Member of Parliament ALLEN BANDA has told ZNBC News that 1- thousand 1- hundred and 63 youths have been sent to various tertiary institutions sponsored under the skills development component of CDF.

He said in the 2022 allocation, 656 students were sent to various colleges for skills development.

Meanwhile on Schools,  Mr. BANDA says the government is building additional classrooms at Mwambashi, Mama Monty and Kalemba at a combined cost of  One point three Million Kwacha to help decongest the schools.

He added that this will also allow more pupils to sit in class.

And, Government has also bought over 700 desks using CDF to address furniture challenges facing schools in the area. PKG
