By Wilson Mulinda

Over 30 private sector players and Small and Medium Enterprises have confirmed participation in the Dubai 2020 Expo.

Commerce Minister CHIPOKA MULENGA says his Ministry has been engaging both public and private sector institutions to ensure Zambia’s successful participation at the expo.

Mr. MULENGA says Government is hopeful that the Dubai Expo will provide Zambian companies a platform for networking and increased exposure for local products development.

He adds that the Dubai Expo will be a much needed platform that will help companies in rebuilding and recovering from the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic by providing a fast track platform to market their products.

Speaking during a press briefing in Lusaka today, Mr. MULENGA also announced that Zambia will have its National day at the Dubai Expo on January 20, 2022.

He said throughout the 6 months, Government will focus on showcasing the country’s investment opportunities with a focus on Agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, Energy, infrastructure and Mining among others.

Mr. MULENGA has since called on Zambians to utilize the expo and market Zambia to the outside world.
