26 Cholera Cases Recorded in Lusaka

Twenty six  confirmed Cholera cases have been recorded in Lusaka since the outbreak of the disease  on October 15th.

And two people have died of Cholera in the same period.

Health Minister SYLVIA MASEBO said this in a Ministerial Statement in Parliament today, identifying some of the affected areas as Kanyama, Chawama and Chipata Compounds.

Ms Masebo said health officers have heightened surveillance and contact tracing in the affected areas, to curb further spread of the disease.

Ms. MASEBO also appealed to the public to consider boiling their drinking water and  to observe good hygiene practices to avoid contracting the disease.
