2023-2024 FISP procurement starts next month

Agriculture Minister REUBEN MTOLO has directed that procurement of farming inputs for the 2023-2024 Farmer Input Support Programme -FISP- should start next month.

Mr. MTOLO has further directed that contracts for the supply of inputs under FISP be advertised before the end of next month.

The Minister spoke during the 2022-2023 FISP performance review meeting in Lusaka today.

And Secretary to the Cabinet PATRICK KANGWA warned agricultural officers against engaging in corrupt practices in the implementation of the 2023-2024 FISP programme.

Mr. KANGWA said government wants to ensure zero tolerance to corruption on the FISP programme, and that civil servants who will be found wanting, will face the consequences.
