2022 CENSUS RESULT READY NEXT WEEK

The Zambia Statistics Agency -ZAMSTATS- says it has compiled a draft summary for the 2022 census of population and will announce the results next week.

Interim Statistician General MULENGA MUSEPA says a mandatory post enumeration survey is ongoing as prescribed by international standards.

Mr. MUSEPA says this is being done by an external institution.

Speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka today, Mr. MUSEPA said the agency has also paid a 43,875 enumerators and supervisors that were owed 60 percent of their monies.

He however said 911 enumerators were not cleared due to failure to return Government assets such as power banks, tablets, and chargers.

Meanwhile, Lusaka District Commissioner ROSA ZULU called on those that have not been paid to be patient because their issues are being addressed by the relevant authorities.
