2 JUVENILES DIE IN ROAD ACCIDENT

 

(ZANIS) Two juveniles have died in separate road accidents in Central Province.

Central Province Police Commanding Officer, DONALD MWANDILA, has confirmed the development in an interview with ZANIS in Kabwe.

Mr. MWANDILA has identified the victims as ANITA CHABALA of Kasokota area in Mkushi and MICHAEL MWANSA, a grade one pupil of Sacred Heart Primary School in Kabwe’s Lukanga area.

He says the first incidence occurred yesterday around 17: 00 hours at Mkushi’s Kasokota area where KARREN TEMBO who was driving a Toyota Allion Registration number BAE 7955 lost control and hit the victim, crushing her head.

Mr. MWANDILA says CHABALA died instantly.

The Provincial Police Chief adds that the second incident occurred this morning involving an Iveco Bus Registration number ZAF 4221D, property of the Zambia Air Force -ZAF.

He said the bus was being driven by Sergeant, SHADRICK HARAWA, aged 39 of Kohima Barracks in Kabwe, who lost control due to excessive speed and bashed the grade one child sustaining a crushed head and died on the spot.

Mr. MWANDILA said the bodies of the victims have been deposited to Mkushi District Hospital and Kabwe Central Hospital mortuaries awaiting postmortems.
