17 ATHLETES SET FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS

Seventeen  athletes will represent Zambia at the 2023 Special Olympics World games to be held in Berlin, Germany.

The Athletes will take part in three sports cords namely Judo, Athletics and Bocce.

And Special Olympics Zambia Acting Sports Coordinator SHADRICK KAPUTA says plans to select the athletes that will travel are already underway.

KAPUTA told ZNBC Sports News that the organization will host the National Special Olympics games in January in a bid to select some participants and also prepare the team.

He said there is however need for the corporate world to help raise the 450,000 Kwacha needed for the team’s travel and participation.
