ZRA Seals Off Makeni Warehouse

June 21, 2019June 21, 20196The Zambia Revenue Authority -ZRA- has sealed off a warehouse in Makeni for suspected gross under-valuations.And ZRA will take the matter to court.ZRA Corporate Communications Manager Topsy Sikalinda says the named Company is suspected to have grossly undervalued Klee soft washing powder on one invoice by declaring two hundred dollars per tonne instead of nine hundred dollars.Mr. Sikalinda  informed journalists at a media briefing in Lusaka today that ZRA has also taken to court Sheis Logistics limited a clearing company for alleged gross under valuations.He said Sheis Logistics Zambia Limited between March 1st and 16th 2019 in Chirundu District while acting together with Athen Munkombwe grossly under declared assorted furniture parts using a forged invoice valued at 14,000 Kwacha instead of the true invoice value of K57,000.Mr. Sikalinda said Government is alleged to have lost about 46-thousand Kwacha in undeclared taxes.
