ZRA LAUNCHERS ELECTRONIC QUEUE SYSTEM

By Justine Akakulubelwa-The Zambia Revenue Authority -ZRA- has officially launched the Electronic Queue Management System at three ZRA additional stations in Livingstone, Chipata and Solwezi.

This brings the number of similar upgraded centres to six across the country.

Speaking during the launch of the system in Livingstone today, ZRA Commissioner General, Kingsley Chanda, said the electronic method will improve service delivery at the three stations.

Mr. Chanda said taxpayers in the three districts will now spend less time at ZRA offices because they will be using the Electronic Queue Management System.

He said the launch is timely as ZRA tries to reduce the spread of Covid-19 by avoiding crowding.

Mr. Chanda further said the electronic system has brought hope to the vision of the Zambia Revenue Authority to be a world-class service provider.

He thanked the German government for its unwavering support to ZRA through GiZ.

And GiZ Head of Programme, Marc Schumacher, said the institution is pleased to work with ZRA to improve tax service delivery beyond the Electronic Queue Management System.

Mr. Schumacher said the introduction of tax payments through mobile money, better known as Tax-on-App, as well as the development of mobile tax offices to enhance service provision in rural areas of Zambia are only two examples of fruitful cooperation betwe
n GiZ and ZRA.
