ZNBC REACH IN CONTENT-KALALA

The ZNBC Board says it will ensure that the institution is helped to safeguard the archived footage by facilitating the procurement of pneumatic converter.

ZNBC Board Chairperson JACK KALALA says ZNBC has rich historical content because it was the only Broadcasting station before the liberalization of the airwaves.

He says there is need to secure historic television content on an updated format which can be used by future generation.

Speaking to ZNBC News shortly after conducting a familiarisation tour with other Board members, Mr. KALALA said the board will find solutions to the challenges faced by the National Broadcaster to meet its mandate.

Mr. KALALA who toured the ZNBC transmitters and the Mass Media studios said the tour was an eye opener.

He said much improvement has been made towards television through digital migration and the Board will ensure the same is done to the Radio section.

Mr. KALALA said ZNBC needs financial support in order to overcome the many challenges it is currently facing.
