ZIM To Investigate Topstar On Allegations That Top Management Positions Are Held By Foreigners

By Leah Ngoma

The Zambia Institute Of Marketing-ZIM- has advised workers at Topstar to bring to the attention of the institute their complaint that positions such as marketing and sales manager are being held by Chinese nationals despite not being qualified.

ZIM President Kenneth Sinkamba says once the matter is officially reported, the institute will be able to launch investigations into the allegations.

Responding to calls by Topstar workers for the institute to intervene and in a matter where the marketing and sales managers there are Chinese, which is against the Zambian laws, Mr Sinkamba explained that the ZIM act is very specific on who can practice marketing in Zambia hence the need for workers to use the right channels in reporting the matter so that it is addressed.
