ZESCO United confirms Chipyoka Songa acquisition

Zambia Super League giants ZESCO United have confirmed the acquisition of winger Chipyoka Songa as earlier reported by the ZamFoot Crew.

The nine-time Champions took to their official platforms to confirm the development. The Zambia U-20 star has penned a four-year deal with the Ndola-based outfit.

“ZESCO United Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of former Lusaka Dynamos attacking midfielder, Chipyoka Songa on a 4-year contract subject to completing medicals.”

Songa 18, is an exciting attacking midfielder seen as a future star player for the nine-time Zambian Super League Champions.

A product of Shamuel Soccer Academy, Songa has quickly blossomed into the game earning himself a two-year loan move to Lusaka Dynamos which ended last season.

Chipyoka was the one positive about Lusaka Dynamos in the first half of the season which earned him trials at South African DSTV premiership side, Cape Town City.

Songa joined Elite Lusaka Dynamos in November 2020 from Lusaka Provincial Division One side Shamuel Academy.

The 17-year-old nearly joined Buildcon in January but the deal fell through. Songa also attended trials in Turkey in February.
