Zesco switched off in Kafue as Zanaco fight back from two goals down

Sensational Zanaco came from two goals to beat Prison Leopards while Zesco United was handed a shock 1-0 defeat by Young Green Eagles away at Khosa Stadium in Kafue.

The MTN/FAZ Super League encounter entered week 16 of action this afternoon with six mouth-watering encounters. At Sunset Stadium, A doubleheader came alive as Green Buffaloes hosted Kitwe United while the battle of the top two faced off.

In the early kick-off, Green Buffaloes overcame their poor finishing in the early stages to record a 3-1 win over whipping Boys, Chingalika, Kitwe United.

Martin Phiri scored a brace while Aubrey Chellah came from the bench to score a third goal with Edward Lungu scoring a consolation goal for the Buchi Boys. The win takes Green Buffaloes out of the relegation zone to 13th place while Chingalika remains stuck at the bottom of the table without a single win.

In the second match, Landu Miete scored a quick brace to send Prison Leopards into an early lead. The Bankers fought back to win the match 3-2 with Roger Kola scoring a brace before getting sent off for a second bookable offense.

Abraham Siankombo scored the winner, a rebound after the keeper failed to deal with a Moses Phiri strike.

In Kabwe, Jimmy Ndhlovu scored the only goal of the game as Kabwe Warriors beat Red Arrows and move to fifth place.

In Ndola, Quadri Kola’s 17th-minute strike was enough as Forest Rangers beat Green Eagles to hand them their second defeat in as many games.

The with takes Fole Malembe to second place joint with Zanaco on 28 points but with a lesser goal difference.

Zesco United was handed a shock 1-0 defeat by Young Green Eagles while Indeni fought back from a goal down twice to hold Lumwana Radiants away in Solwezi.
