ZESCO, Prison share spoils as Kansanshi record a win in Chililabombwe

MTN super league defending champions Zesco United missed a chance to reduce the gap between them and the log leaders, Red Arrows after they were held to a 1-1 all draw by Prison Leopards at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Damiano Kola gave the visitors the lead a minute into the second stanza.

Zesco United dominated the first half and even scored twice through Enock Sakala Jr but the goals could not stand as the referee ruled them out for an offside and an infringement on the goalkeeper.

Prison Leopards seemed to be heading for a shock victory but Pedro Miguel as the Angola forward rescued a point for Numba Mumamba’s side with a late equalizer in additional time of the match.

Zesco United remains on second place on the log with 49 points, seven adrift of the Airmen.

Prison Leopards also remains in 13th place with 32 points.

In Chililabombwe, First half goals from Dave Daka and Jesse Jackson Were handed Kansanshi Dynamos a 2-0 win over Konkola Blades.

The Mabanga Boys were in the the lead in the first ten minutes of the game through goals from Dave Daka in the 5th minute and Jesse Were in the 9th minute.

Following the win, Kansanshi Dynamos has since leapfrogged Zanaco into eighth position with 39 points while Konkola blades remains on 24 points and at the bottom of the table.
