ZESCO United yesterday opened a four-point lead at the summit of the Super Division after overcoming 10-man New Monze Swallows in a rescheduled Week 29 encounter in Ndola.
The champions moved to 67 points while second-placed Green Buffaloes are on 63 points.
Burundian midfielder Enock Sabumukama was the architect of the victory after he scored in both halves in the lunchtime kick-off played behind closed doors to end Zesco’s four-match winless streak.
“We have been without a win in the last four games, so we are very excited. It’s a turning point. The last win was against Zanaco, so it’s a turning point,” Zesco assistant coach Alfred Lupiya said.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
