ZANACO’S OPPONENT PYRAMIDS AND THE KEY STATS BEHIND THEM

Zanaco football club was drawn against Egyptian side Pyramids in the second tier of Africa’s most prestigious inter-club tournament the Confederation Cup. Zambia clubs has not had It easy to go past Northern African club.

They played that season like a house on fire finishing third, behind Al Ahly and Zamalek. Fast forward to their second season which is the 2019/20 season, they have played a total of 21 games in all competitions scoring 38 goals in the process.

In the league, Pyramid have played 15 matches winning 8 of those game and are sitting fifth on the the log. They have drawn 5 time and losing 3 times on the road.

Their debut CAF Confederation Cup run has been very good, losing only once on the final day of the group stage to Nigerian outfit Enugu Rangers. Burkinabe midfielder Eric Traore is the top scorer in the competition with 3 goals.

Egyptian international attacker Said Abdallah has already scored 11 goals in 15 matches and he will be a threat to Zanaco.

Zanaco will need to keep an eye on 34 year old attacking Said Abdallah who has been the most standout player for the Pyramids and he is the current top scorer in the league with 11 goals, Eric Traore, Mohamed Farouk and Ghanaian center forward John Antwi are other players Zanaco should pay attention to.
