ZANACO PLAYED FAIR – KAINDU

By Chansa Kunda-

ZANACO Football Club Head Coach KELVIN KAINDU says his charges where tactically disciplined and played a fair game despite losing one nil to SC Sfaxien of Tunisia in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup Group Stage Encounter.

The Bankers last night conceded a penalty in additional time as AYMEN HARZI converted a spot kick to give the home side all three points after a hard-fought encounter.

And in his reaction to the defeat, KAINDU said the team was strong, tactically disciplined but failed to create most chances on goal.

He said towards the end of the match, the players lost concentration and where in the process punished as Sfaxien where awarded a penalty which they converted.

KAINDU said the home side played a better game in the second half as they pushed for a breakthrough which eventually paid off.

Following the one nil loss, ZANACO lie bottom of Group A as Pyramids who beat Al Ahly Tripoli 2-1 are top and joint on three points with Sfaxien who second while Tripoli are third and share spoils with the bankers.

And, Football Analyst NSAMA CHISUPA said deficiency in the final third is what cost the team as they could not create scoring chances.
