Zanaco appoint Chris Kaunda and Joel Bwalya as head coach and assistant

Super League side Sensational Zanaco has appointed Chris Kaunda and Joel Bwalya as head coach and first Assistant coach respectively.

The Bankers confirmed the development in a press statement accessed by the ZamFoot Crew. The duo will be in charge of the team until the end of the season.

The two coaches were unveiled at Sunset Stadium this afternoon and will start work immediately.

“Chris Kaunda becomes new Zanaco FC Coach Zanaco Football Club would like to announce the appointment of Chris Kaunda and Joel Bwalya as head and assistant coaches respectively until the end of the season.”

The duo has replaced Numba Mumamba and Kelvin Kaindu who were sent on administrative leave on Monday.

Zanaco management believes the duo will help the team from their current predicament as they sit in the relegation zone with just 13 points from 13 games.

“The club board and management are confident that the two coaches will steer the team out of its current poor performance to where the team belongs.”

Kaunda has been unattached since parting ways with High Flying Nkwazi back in October following a six-match winless run.

Kaunda’s first task will be the game against ESAE FC of Benin in the CAF Confederation Cup this Sunday, 12th January 2020 at National Heroes Stadium.
