ZANACO Football Club will tomorrow Saturday 18th September host Akonangui FC of Equatorial Guinea in the second leg of the CAF Champions league’s first preliminary round at Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.

Speaking to the ZamFoot Crew in a pre-match press conference head coach Kelvin Kaindu said his team will need to be cautious as they play tomorrow in a sense that if they managed to win away it’s also possible for the away team to win at home.

Kaindu also confirmed that the team will be without Eric Owusu who sustained an injury in the first leg.

“It was a good experience for the team if you look at the preparations we had with Yanga FC of Tanzania it was good, despite the bad reception we received in Equatorial Guinea the most important thing is that we recorded a victory,” Kaindu said.

“The approach becomes slightly different after recording a 2-0 win but they are not a team to underrate they have improved over the last few years.”

“We are ready and all the players are. We will be without midfielder Eric Owusu who got injured during the first leg last Saturday,” Kaindu added.

Meanwhile, Zanaco vice Captain Kelvin Owusu emphasized his team not underrating their opponents tomorrow.

In the first leg it ended 2-0 in favor of the Bankers as Enerst Mbewe and Evans Katema scored the two away goals to hand the ZANACO the victory. The match will be played at 15:00hours at the National Heroes Stadium.

The winner over both legs will face the winner of the match between Express FC of Uganda and Al Merrikh of Sudan in October’s second round.
