Zambian Mission in China Trashes Reports of Attacks of Zambian Student

The Zambian Mission in China has refuted claims that a Zambian student in that country was brutally beaten and is battling for his life.

Acting Foreign Affairs Permanent Secretary Winnie Chibesakunda has trashed the allegations after having contacted the Zambian mission in Beijing.

According to the statement, an inquiry among Zambian nationals in Beijing was conducted with no such report filed.

Chibesakunda said that an alert had also been put through necessary channels to ensure that any such case is brought to the attention of the authorities.

There has been heightening anti-Chinese propaganda with the Chinese nationals cast in bad light following a cutthroat global economic war for influence between China and the West.
