Zambia to Support SADC Social-Economic Programms

July 19, 2019July 19, 201913By Reuben Chomba-Foreign Affairs Minister Joseph Malanji says Zambia will continue to support and spearhead initiatives and programmes that support social and economic development within the SADC region.Mr Malanji also says peace and security within the region are essential components needed to create an environment for social and economic growth for SADC member states.Mr Malanji was speaking during the official opening of the Ministerial session of the SADC 21st Ministerial committee of the SADC organ in Lusaka.He disclosed that Zambia will continue to send observer missions to SADC countries that are scheduled to hold elections to ensure democratic values and political stability is maintained in the region.Mr Malanji said the region has remained stable and peaceful while promoting shared values of peace, security and good governance among member states.
