Zambia Super League week eleven | Saturday action

Three losses in a row with no win in the last six matches, they will seek redemption when they host Forest Rangers at Nkoloma stadium. With so much hype and talk between them on social media where Forest Rangers have warned of no Buffaloes in their territory with Green Buffaloes in return posting themselves of grazing through the forest, it is expected that this match will live to its billing and hype. In the last 5 matches, Green Buffaloes have recorded 3 wins with 2 draws and have found the back of the net five times whilst conceding one in the process.

Forest Rangers know what is at stake and if not careful another loss will hit them. Green Buffaloes currently lead the game 1-0 thanks to a Chipili Mungule goal.

At the same venue Nkoloma stadium in a late kick-off match, Red Arrows will host Young Green Eagles. The airmen have not been consistent in picking up results this season, they last won a match in week 3 away to Prison Leopards with a one-nil win. Their problem has been lack of goal scoring instinct but coming up with Young Green Eagles who have the second poor defense in ZSL, the onus will be on James Chamanga, Felix Bulaya, Stanley Nshimbi, Francis Simwanza to give the airmen goals to seal a win.

Red Arrows stand a big chance in this match if they only find a way of unlocking the sitting deep Young Green Eagles. A clean sheet for Red Arrows is a reality today with more than one goal win.

Work in progress which is slowly taking place at elite Lusaka Dynamos with a 4-1 beating of Red Arrows last Sunday being a testimony and now they travel to Indeni sports complex in Ndola town to take on Indeni Fc who have surprised anyway with their no-fear approach to any team as they pushed Zesco united to the wire in the last fixture with the last-minute goal from Logic Ching’andu condemning them to 3-2 loss in a match in which they managed to come from behind on two occasions.

This match provides a good test for Lusaka Dynamos as both teams are likely to score. A team that scores more, will get away with points in this one.

Coached by former stylish Roan united player Mwenya Chipepo who has instilled the venom in the team of playing as a unit with few touches on the ball from each player and just recently they found the gem in attack an only thing which was lacking in them. Voguish Prison Leopards will host Buidcon Fc who have emerged as surprise title contenders this season.

This game will play with full energy levels and should experience Prison Leopards defender Shadreck Banda who has been solid in defense with his team only conceding 5 times this season from 9 games put up a splendid shift at the back and the Buidcon FC defense which has been a let down for the team marshaled by Isaac Shamujompa continue with their poor show, Buidcon will be punished.

Both teams are likely to score and if buildcon defense grip the game, they will walk out with a point as it has been difficult for teams who have traveled to Independence stadium to come out smiling they have all limped with losses with only Red Arrows managing to pick up three points.

The bankers, Sensational Zanaco are in pole place to compound more woes on Tenant Chembo the Lumwana Radiants coach who hasn’t picked up any point since assuming coaching responsibilities of the team. It will be a tall mountain to climb for Zanaco as they have always struggled against the Radiants as they have failed to score more than one goal past them in the last 4 matches.

Zanaco has won 2 with the other 2 ending in one all draws. Now with the best scoring record in the league, it will be expected that the Zanaco goal haul against Radiants will be improved who are not pushovers and if not handled carefully they will surprise Zanaco Fc.

On Sunday at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe, Power Dynamos will host Magnificent peoples team Kabwe Warriors who have also struggled with consistency but on their day, they can punish any team and if Power Dynamos will think their back to back two wins performance will be enough to see off Kabwe Warriors they will be swept through. In the last five matches, Kabwe Warriors have won three times and they have only failed to find the back of the net on one occasion. 14 goals have been scored between them with 8 from Power Dynamos. This game will go in either way with both teams standing an equal chance of winning.

Kitwe United Vs Napsa stars and Nkwazi Vs Nkana matches have been postponed due to Napsa Stars and Nkana CAF club competition engagements. Green Eagles and Zesco United played to a goalless draw on Friday at Independence Stadium in Choma town.
