Zambia Super League week 29 brings big matchups to life
The Zambia Super League enters week 29 of action with eight matches taking center stage.
The Ndola derby headlines the fixtures as Forest Rangers welcome ZESCO United at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
In Lusaka, Log leaders Red Arrows will face a tough test as they visit Edwin Imboela Stadium to face unpredictable Nkwazi.
The Airmen who are chasing a league and cup double could extend their lead at the Summit as ZESCO United have a tricky derby to negotiate.
However, they face a team that they have only managed to beat six times in the last 20 meetings.
Relegation-threatened Lusaka Dynamos welcome Kabwe Warriors in an early kick-off at Imboela.
This is a must-win for Lusaka Dynamos as the threat of relegation is becoming more of a reality every week.
They however face a tricky Kabwe Warriors team that they last beat in 2009.
There is another Ndola derby, this one will take place at Trade Fair Grounds as Buildcon squares off with Indeni.
Another big game comes alive in Choma as Nkana and Green Eagles battle it out for continental football credentials.
Nkana and Eagles are fresh from a disappointing ABSA Cup semifinal exit at the hands of NAPSA Stars and Red Arrows respectively and will be eager to get back to winning ways.
A win for the Eagles can see them leapfrog ZESCO United into second place should Numba Mumamba’s men fail to get maximum points in the Ndola derby.
Konkola Blades host Green Buffaloes while Prison Leopards welcome the visit of in-form Kansanshi Dynamos.
Prison Leopards are winless in their last six games while the Mabanga Boys are unbeaten in seven games.
The Yellow side of Kitwe, Power Dynamos will be looking to get back to winning ways as they host Chambishi at the Arthur Davies Stadium.
