Zambia has signed a host agreement with the African Union Commission for the hosting of the 4th African Union Mid-year Coordination summit scheduled to take place from July 14th to 17th 2022.

Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister STANLEY KAKUBO says the summit will bring together 13 Heads of State and Government.

Mr. KAKUBO says the summit will be preceded by the 41st ordinary session of the executive council from July 14th to 15th 2022, to be attended by Foreign Affairs Ministers of all the 55 member states of the AU.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, Mr. KAKUBO said the agreement shows that Zambia is ready to receive the delegates from the continent.

Mr. KAKUBO said the meeting will help Zambia to become more attractive to the international Community to host future events of this nature.

Meanwhile, AU Inspection Mission Team Leader RATEBAYE TORDETA said all the inspections have shown that Zambia is ready to host the summit.
