Zambia recovering from covid 3rd wave

Wilson Mulinda-Zambia has continued recovering from the third wave of COVID 19 with NO death recorded in the last 24 hours.

Health Minister SYLVIA MASEBO has also disclosed that 97 new COVID-19 cases were detected in the last 24 hours out of 6 thousand 6 hundred and 30 tests.

Ms. MASEBO says there are 6-hundred and 37 active cases under either admission to an isolation facility or home management for those who are asymptomatic or low risk.

She told ZNBC news in a statement that 9 new admissions were recorded into COVID 19 isolation centers against 8 discharges from COVID-19 facilities country wide.

Ms. MASEBO said a combined 60 discharges were made from both home management and facilities in the last 24 hours, bringing the cumulative number of recoveries recorded to date to 2-hundred and 4 thousand 3-hundred and 23.

She said global efforts to end infectious diseases will only succeed if there are effective medicines to treat them.
