By Brian Mwale

Inspector General of Police LEMMY KAJOBA says Zambia has continued benefiting from the International Criminal Police Organisation -INTERPOL- through capacity building.

Mr. KAJOBA says Zambia will also continue forging partnerships and enhance intelligence sharing on law enforcement.

Commenting on the just-ended 90th International Police General Assembly in New Delhi, India, Mr. KAJOBA observed that INTERPOL meetings provide the global law enforcement community an opportunity to underline commitment of working together against common global transnational crimes.

He said the essence of the annual INTERPOL General Assembly is sharing best experiences and practices.

Mr. KAJOBA stated that this year’s 90th meeting was focusing on sharing common and new crime threats.

He said busting international and national financial organised crimes, terrorism, Cyber security and cybercrimes and investigating on-online child exploitation, were top on the agenda during the meeting.

This is according to a statement issued to ZNBC News by First Secretary Press at the Zambian Mission in India BENNIE MUNDANDO.
