ZACCI CONFIDENT ZAMBIA’S RECLAIMED INTERNATIONAL CREDIBILITY WILL RESULT INTO MEDIUM AND LARGE SCALE PROJECTS

By Michael Kaluba

The Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry-ZACCI says the political goodwill by the government resulting into favourable macroeconomic fundamentals has handed local businesses a new lease of life and has made Zambia an attractive business destination.

ZACCI president Chabuka Kawesha says with underlying effects and economic fundamentals having responded to the goodwill, Zambia regaining its credit worthiness and international credibility, the year 2022 has so far been both interesting and exciting for industry.

Dr. Kawesha says investors can now rely on this positive economic outlook to undertake relevant feasibility studies for both medium and large scale projects in the country.
He points out to the strengthened kwacha and the recently announced reduction of commodity prices by some chain stores, as part of the spiral effects of the existing good business environment.

The ZACCI president adds that it is gratifying to finally see businesses acclimatize to the new monthly fuel pricing and reporting structure around quarter 3 of this year.
