ZAA INTENSIFIES LOCAL PREPS

The Zambia Athletics Association -ZAA- says it will intensify local preparations for Athletes that have qualified to the 2021 Tokyo Olympic games.

ZAA- President Elias Mpondela says the association will formulate strategies and come up with local competitions that will enable Athletes prepare for the Olympics.

Mpondela was speaking to ZNBC Sports during All Comer’s Meet competition held at the National Heroes Stadium.

And Mpondela said the Athletics family is happy with Rhoda Njovu’s qualification to the Olympics as she become the first female in Zambia to qualify in the 100 meters race.

He further said the Association plans to qualify at least three more Athletes for the games.

And Sydney Siame, who qualified in the 200 meters race, during the 2019 All Africa games has urged Njovu to continue working hard.
