Young Queens train from match venue for the first time

Zambia U-20 Women’s National Team has continued to intensify preparations ahead of their back-to-back Costa Rica 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Second round Qualifier match against Malawi.

The Young Queens had their afternoon training session today at Nkoloma Stadium which is the match venue for Friday’s game against The Young Scorchers.

Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Technical Director Lyson Zulu was also available throughout the team’s session to offer some support and also witness how the team is shaping up under the watchful eye of Coach Charles Haalubono.

Zulu encouraged the girls to utilize this opportunity that has been given to them and also urged the team to work hard and do well this Friday.

Zambia and Malawi will lock horns this Friday 24th September 2021 in the first leg at Nkoloma Stadium with kick-off set at 15:00hrs.

The Young Queens will then travel to Lilongwe for the second leg to be played on 9th October 2021 at Bingu National Stadium.

The winner between Zambia and Malawi will face Ghana in the next round of qualifiers after Mauritania pulled out of the race to Costa Rica.
