President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has called on young people in the country to learn from former Finance Minister NG’ANDU MAGANDE’s handwork.

President HICHILEMA says a good life can only be guaranteed through hard work which cannot be substituted by shortcuts as demonstrated by the late Dr. MAGANDE.

Speaking during the funeral Church service of Dr. MAGANDE at the Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Lusaka today, President HICHILEMA described the former Cabinet Minister as a consummate and diligent professional.

And the widow, JOYCE MAGANDE, who was married to Dr. MAGANDE for more than 50-years, has described her late husband as a generous and hardworking man.

Mrs. MAGANDE said this in a tribute read on her behalf by her first cousin Dr. NAMONZE MUNDENDE.

MUTINTA MAGANDE, the son to the late Minister spoke on behalf of the five children – describing his father as a humble and wise man of global repute.

In a sermon , Major KENNEDY MIZINGA of the Salvation Army who based his message on Ecclesiastes -9, verse 9 to 12 urged people to do their best when they have the opportunity.

Major MIZINGA said people need to add value to whatever they do while they are still alive and follow the footsteps of the late Dr. MAGANDE who served the country diligently.
