By Moombe Hamoboola:Government targets to place over one-hundred of its workers on a single portal called ZamPortal by the end of 2021 under the Smart Zambia Transformation Agenda.The ZamPortal was developed to make all public services, which can be provided electronically, available in one place.Smart Zambia Director in charge of E-learning Milner Makuni says government has so far included thirty-four online services from Immigration, Road Transport and Safety Agency, and PACRA under the first phase pilot project.Under the 7th National Development Plan, the government initially targeted to bring on board all the two-hundred-and-twelve services from over sixty government agencies online by 2021, a goal that will not be attained due to unforeseen challenges.Mr. Makuni was speaking in an interview with ZNBC News in Livingstone.He urged Zambians to create accounts with ZamPortal by using the website to be able to access government services online.
