Wheelchair basketball national team aim for medals

Chansa Kunda-Zambia Wheelchair Basketball National team captain ANDREW TEMBO says the team will compete for medals at the 2022 DANIKO games to be held in Zimbabwe.

TEMBO says a team of 17 wheelchair basketball players will represent the country at the games that start this weekend.

He says the team will take part in three events namely wheelchair basketball, wheelchair race and seating volleyball.

TEMBO has told ZNBC Sports news that the players are ready to compete in the Paralympics sports and get good results.

And athlete RUDITH NAMUSUKUMA says the players are committed despite facing a lot of challenges with the preparations.

The team has since left for Zimbabwe.
