Mwila Nsofu-President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has pledged to accelerate investments in all sectors of the Zambian economy to better lives of citizens.

And President HICHILEMA says his administration is determined to change things in order to speed up development in the country.

The President says Zambia has a lot to learn and anything that requires support, be it political or leadership to make things happen will be done.

He was speaking before witnessing the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates -UAE-.

President HICHILEMA said the way the UAE has approached development is amazing and that Zambia has a lot to learn.

Meanwhile, ABU DHABI Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairperson, ABDULLAH MAZRUI said the signing of the MoU will open up Zambia and the UAE to various investment opportunities.

Mr. MAZRUI said Zambia is a land of many opportunities which businesses can take advantage of.

And Speaking at the same function, ZACCI President CHABBUKA KAWESHA said the MoU opens potential business linkages that will ease access for Zambian businesses in doing business in the UAE and the Middle East.

Dr. KAWESHA said the MOU also seeks to attract investors into Zambia’s tourism, Energy, Agriculture and Mining sectors among others.

Earlier, President HICHILEMA held a series of closed door meetings, which included a meeting with the Managing Director of the Emirates Investment Authority SALEM ALMUHAIRI at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.
