VUBWI PETITION JUDGMENT DATE SET

The High Court has set November 3rd, 2021 as date for judgment in the Vubwi constituency Parliamentary petition.

This is a matter were losing UPND candidate Alphonso Phiri has petitioned the election of PF’s Ackleo Banda in the August 12 general election.

Mr. Phiri has cited the involvement of foreign voters, violence and the distribution of food by the respondent and his agents as some of the reasons why the seat should nullified.

After both parties concluded their cases yesterday, Lusaka Judge Ruth Chibbabuka who is hearing the matter in Chipata set November 3rd 2021 as judgment day.
