Voting Underway In Milenge Town Council Chairperson By-Election

Voting in the Milenge Town Council Chairperson by-election is underway with an average voter turnout.

Electoral Commission of Zambia-ECZ-Public Relations Manager Margaret Chimanse has told phoenix news that the voting environment in all polling stations is peaceful with no political violence recorded so far.

Ms Chimanse has also disclosed that three polling stations in Nsunga ward of Milenge district namely Kashila polling station, Lupiya polling station and Lungo Mukuta polling station which were expected to delay in opening have been opened and voting is ongoing.

She has further indicated that commission will compensate by the equivalent time lost in the three polling stations that opened late.
