VEEP PAYS TRIBUTE TO MEDICAL PERSONNEL

Vice President Inonge Wina has paid tribute to medical personnel in the country for their effective response in combating the Covid 19 pandemic.

Mrs. Wina says the personnel worked tirelessly to ensure the threat paused by the pandemic is minimized.

She says Government is happy that Zambia has been ranked as a fourth safe destination nation in the world in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mrs. Wina says the ranking was achieved because of the collective effort by Zambians to fight the viral disease.

The Vice President said this in a speech read for her by Chiefs and Traditional affairs Minister Lawrence Sichalwe at the 2020, Zambia Medical Association Service Recognition and Award Ceremony held in Lusaka last evening.

And Health Minister Chitalu Chilufya encouraged Medical Doctors to venture into Entrepreneurship.

At the same function, some deserving medical personnel and a Journalist were awarded for their contributions to the sector.
