Vice President Inonge Wina says Zambians should be proud of both local and global achievements that First President Dr. Kenneth Kaunda earned.

Mrs Wina says the country produced an international statesman as can be seen from reactions of many countries and international organizations following his death .

She says Dr. Kaunda’s strong values of peace ,unity were reflected in his life and the Government he led .

Mrs Wina who could not hold back tears as she remembered the role Dr. Kaunda played in the country has since urged all Zambians to be strong in this trying moment.

The Vice President said this in an interview with journalists shortly after visiting the funeral home of Dr. Kaunda.

Mrs Wina also wished the family well as they go through the mourning period .

And Panji Kaunda, who is Dr Kaunda’s Son, thanked Government and the Zambian people for the support rendered to the family.

Colonel Kaunda said Zambians should honor his father by keeping the peace, unity and love for one another.
