US SEEKS STRONG TIES IN HEALTH SECTOR

The United States of America -USA- has expressed commitment to continue working and strengthening partnerships with the Zambian government to address key health issues.

US Embassy Zambia Charge’ d’ Affaires, SHERYL STUMBRAS also says the US government is the largest donor to Zambia’s health sector, amounting to over 15 million United States Dollars.

Ms STUMBRAS explained that the US government has spent approximately Nine Billion Kwacha through various projects.

She said this during the breakfast meeting with the parliamentary committee on health, community development and social services in Lusaka today where they discussed US public health assistance in Zambia.

Speaking at the same event, Parliamentary Committee on Health, Community development and social services, Chairperson, CHRISTOPHER KALILA expressed gratitude to the US government for the continued support to the country’s health sector.
