UPPZ acquire extra 10, 000 plots

Lusaka (10-06-18) United Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia (UPPZ) president Charles Chanda has acquired 10, 000 more plots at the cost of K29 million which he intend to empower Zambians.

Chanda told journalists at media briefing when arrived from South Africa where he had gone for business that the prime land which he has acquired near the airport will be sold at the cost K10, 000 each to need Zambians.

“With the help of well wishers who have  been following the activities of UPPZ, the land in question will be fully developed, including constructing roads leading to the plots will be fully tarred and water will be provided.”

The proposed dwelling compound will have not only a number of shopping complex built there but also mini business centres to accommodate business.

He suggested that other amenities, including service stations like police stations, hospitals and post office will be erected in the area.

He disclosed that the UPPZ will partner with other well wishers to develop the land. Chanda said he will not be discouraged to buy  land and distribute it to the poor Zambians who really need it.

He observed that there are people in Zambia who have developed a habit of criticising anything no matter how good that may be.

He said of late some  people have been writing about him on social media, questioning how he acquired land which in turn is redistributed to poor citizens.

He said the land is genuinely gotten from the investors who have no use of it.

“At times, I buy the land from commercial farmers who for some reasons may not be willing to continue with the farming projects,” Mr Chanda said.

He added that the land where the people will be allocated will be developed with tarred Roads and running water.

Chanda is happy that ten thousand more citizens will be empowered with land where they are going to build their homes.

He said it is his desire to see more people without home to acquire land so that they can have a place where they could call a home.

Chanda vowed never to be discouraged in buying land for redistribution.

Besides providing lands to the people Chanda explained, the project will see over two thousand jobs that will be created.

He observed that the some luck unemployed youths will be engaged in break laying and construction when the project begin the coming weeks.
