UPND’S ‘VIOLENCE’ CONDEMN

By Patricia Banda:

The Anti Political Violence Association of Zambia has strongly condemned the political violence that transpired in  Lufwanyama District on the copper belt where UPND cadres are alleged to have attacked the PF during the ward By- Elections .

The Association President Bernandett Mulenga  says it is unfortunate that some PF cadres that were attacked and are currently  admitted in hospital.

Mrs Mulenga says there is no  need to kill each other just because of politics stating that Zambia is a Christian national and there is need to co- exist as one.

She has told ZNBC news in an interview that the Association is disappointed that the UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema  is not addressing violence in his party.

Mrs. Mulenga  explained that political leaders should know that people have got a right to belong to any political party they want.

And Mrs. Mulenga has also cautioned some political leaders who are dividing the nation on tribal lines.

This is contained in a statement made available to ZNBC news in Lusaka.
