UPND’s Martha Mushipe Causes Fracas At Totalling Centre; Forces ECZ To Ban Questions

The drama caused by Lusaka lawyer Martha Mushipe at the results centre this morning has forced the Electoral Commission of Zambia to ban questions during the announcement of results.

An emotional Mushipe had staged an emotional stunt before cameras whilst seeking clarification on the issue of signing Form 20 documents by agents at polling stations and also on the matter of a person who was allegedly illegally in the ECZ server room without any lawful authority.

Mushipe resorted to barking at the high table demanding the dismissal of ECZ Director Priscilla Isaacs and IT personnel identified as Kasalo.

Mushipe did not only stun the top bench but also the audience across the country that is religiously following the flow of results.

The opposition United Party for National Development has been casting doubt in the process at every turn during meetings with the ECZ.

On Friday UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema stormed the results centre at Mulungushi International Conference Centre accusing the ECZ of colluding with the Patriotic Front.

During the second session of results being announced ECZ public relations manager Chris Akufuna announced that no questions will be taken from the floor.
