UPND wins 4 out of 5 ward by elections

The UPND has scooped four of the five ward by elections held yesterday.

The ruling party has scooped Nakatambo Ward in Chitambo, Mumbotuta Ward in Milenge, Buntungwa Ward in Mufulira and Itapa Ward in Chinsali.

And United Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia – UPPZ- has scooped the Mansha Ward by election in Kanchibiya District of Munchinga Province.

In Nakatambo Ward, UPND Candidate ROMANUEL CHANDA polled 391 votes and was declared duly elected councillor.

And in the second place JOHN CHIBESA of Citizens First had 334 votes, while COVAX KUNDA of UPPZ polled 81 votes in third place.
