UPND Will Not Accept Poll Outcome, Declares Ackson Sejani

The opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) says it will not accept the outcome of the August 11 elections if it loses citing what it has described as the confusion surrounding the verification of the voters register.

UPND chairman for elections Ackson Sejani, renowned as architect OF the infamous Matizya Formula, says the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has disfranchised about 2,198 voters in Southern Province whose details are appearing wrongly in the register.

The Maptizya Formula is a UPND mechanism to create violence as a way of intimidating voters during elections.

Sejani has says there are so many lacunas in the ongoing verification process.

He says the ECZ should put its house in order and correct some of the mistakes the party has observed.

Sejani has complained that the Examinations Council of Zambia is also taking long to attend to party aspiring candidates who are trying to verify their Grade 12 certificates.

The long serving founder says the UPND is not happy with the manner in which the Police have responded towards those vandalizing its campaign billboards.

Sejani has since called on the Zambia Police and ECZ to ensure all players are given enough space and a level playing field during campaigns.
