UPND TO REMAIN STEADFAST- MWEETWA

Southern Province Minister CORNELIUS MWEETWA says the UPND will remain steadfast in working towards the transformation of the economy in line with its agenda to bring development to the country.

Mr. MWEETWA says government has put in place measures which will ensure economic growth in line with its campaign promises.

The minister was speaking in Magoye area of Mazabuka district at the memorial service of late UPND provincial chairperson GIDEON SHAKALIMA.

At the same event, Local Government and Rural Development Minister GARRY NKOMBO described Mr. SHAKALIMA as an effective party organiser.

Speaking earlier, Chief HAMUSONDE of Monze said Mr. SHAKALIMA will be remembered  and appreciated for the contribution in mobilizing the UPND during its over 20 years in opposition.
