UPND COMMITTED TO VIOLENCE FREE ELECTION -VEEP

By Ruth Chayinda

Vice President Mutale Nalumango says the UPND remains committed to a free violence campaign in Kabwata as all political parties are able to freely sell their candidates.

Mrs. Nalumango says the current campaigns show that a violence free campaign is possible.

She says the UPND will NOT hide any form of criminality in the name of cadreism.

The Vice President says in the past the UPND was accused of being a violent party because it responded to the violent acts of some other political parties but this has not been reflected in the Kabwata campaigns.

Mrs Nalumango said this in an interview at Chilenje market after interacting with marketeers where she donated face masks and bought foodstuff as she campaigned for UPND candidate Andrew Tayengwa.

The Vice President also expressed optimism that the UPND Candidate will scoop the seat because the people of Kabwata have seen what the UPND has done in the 5 months it has been in office.

Mrs. Nalumango said the government is aware of the challenges the people of Kabwata are facing and will work to address them through its candidate.
