UNION SIGNS HOUSING DEAL FOR GOVT WORKERS

The Civil Servant and Allied Workers Union of Zambia has signed an agreement with Horizon properties for the provision of decent housing.

Union President Davy Chiyobe says civil servants face a critical shortage of housing.

Mr CHIYOBE says the agreement will enable civil servants have access to affordable and cheaper housing.

And Horizon Properties Chief executive officer Soul Kiwempindi says the country’s housing deficit has gone beyond 2 Million Units from the previous One Point Five Million.

Dr KIWEMPINDI says there is need for more investments in the sector to enable more Zambians have access to decent housing.

He was speaking in an interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka.
