UNDER 17 COPPER QUEENS IN ACTION ON DEC 1

The Zambia Women’s Under -17 duo LUBASI PUMULO and JESSY ZULU are confident that their team will defend their COSAFA title.

Zambia was drawn in group B for the 2022 COSAFA Championship where they will face competition from Botswana and Comoros.

Speaking to ZNBC Sports in an interview, LUBASI PUMULO said the team has what it takes to win back-to-back titles.

PUMULO said the competition will be stiff but noted that the team is determined to follow suit with other National teams that have been crowned regional champions this year.

And Striker JESSY ZULU said the morale in camp is high as players are eager to get into action on the first of December when they face Botswana in what will be a repeat of last year’s final.

ZULU said she is hoping to use the experience gained with Green Buffaloes during the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions league to steer the side to another regional title.
