UKRAINE EVACUATED STUDENTS RETURN HOME

Over 70 Zambian students who were studying in Ukraine arrived in the country on Tuesday .

And Speaking when he received the students last night, Foreign Affairs Minister STAINELY KAKUBO said government is happy that the students have arrived home safely.

Mr KAKUBO said government wants to ensure that all Zambians are brought home safely and that no life of a Zambian should be lost.

He said the position of government is diplomacy, and not war, and has since urged the parties concerned to get to the negotiating table.

And Chief Government Spokesperson CHUSHI KASANDA said government is delighted with the safe evaluation of Zambian citizens from Ukraine.

Meanwhile Zambia Chargé d’affaires in Berlin Germany DOCUS CHILESHE said the embassy worked in collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure the tracking and safety of every Zambian Student in Ukraine.
